Consultation Procedure
The purpose of an initial consultation is twofold. First Visit, allows you to get to know us and see our office. Second, it allows Dr. Glaser to perform an initial examination to determine your orthodontic needs.
What to expect
Please arrive 15 minutes before your First Visit appointment so that we can answer any initial questions you may have and assist you with some preliminary paperwork regarding your medical history. Before beginning your treatment, we’ll discuss treatment fees, insurance coverage, and financial arrangements in detail. We utilize OrthoFi to offer customizable payment options: zero-interest financing, a discount for payment in full at the start of the treatment, a larger initial payment and lower monthly payments, or payments paid during the treatment period. One of our friendly staff members will then escort you to the consultation room, where Dr. Glaser will perform a simple, painless orthodontic examination. Dr. Glaser will explain the nature of your orthodontic problem, will offer treatment options for correction, and will answer any questions you may have. Next, our treatment coordinator will discuss with you “Ortho 101”, a complete overview of the ins and outs of orthodontics. It is our goal to provide you with all the information necessary to assist you in making an informed decision about your treatment.
What happens next
On some occasions, the patient may not be ready for braces. Dr. Glaser will suggest that you come back to the office periodically so that he may monitor the growth of the jaws and the development of the teeth until you are ready to begin. These “recall” visits are also at no charge.
If you are ready to begin treatment, we will schedule appointments to start and discuss your flexible payment options and insurance coverage (if applicable).
